Aryna Sabalenka

Sabalenka, is born in Minsk (the capital city of Belarus), is her father's daughter. Sergey the father of her (who passed away in 2019) was a hockey ice player. Aryna Sabalenka was born in Minsk, Belarus on May 5th, 1998. She has won 12 WTA titles throughout her career, including the Grand Slam of 2023 Australian Open. Doubles is another sport where she excels. In the US Open 2019, and Australian Open 2021, US Open 2019, and Australian Open 2021 were both taken by Elise Mertens. Alongside the Belgian tennis champion, the Belgian also won her the WTA 1000 in Indian Wells and Miami in 2019 thus making it the Sunshine Double. Only four women's pairs had achieved this achievement. The Belarusian rose from second place to third on the world singles rankings on August 23rd, 2021. Her top ranking was also achieved in the month of January 2023. As a double, she was able to propel herself to first on February the following year following her victory in Melbourne making her the second tennis player from Belarus to achieve success in this particular area. She was coached by an ex- Russian tennis star Dmitry Tursunov from 2018 until the end of the 2019 season and partly in the first quarter of 2020. Dieter Kindlmann became her trainer from the month of August till September 2020. Since the end of 2020 she's been trained by her host countryman Antonio Dubrov. Serena Williams, and Maria Sharapova are among her greatest idols.
